Hungarian champions

The CHAMP project supported and trained 11 cities, 2 companies and 1 university student in Hungary in responding to climate change effects through implementing integrated management systems and improvement of effective planning. We thought that an integrated management system for local sustainability can integrate sustainability aspects into their management
practices, indentify resources and solution for responding to climate change related problems and challenges.

The main task of local governments is to provide good quality of life for citizens. However, human are facing an increasing number of global threats and problems, such as the impacts of climate change. What kind of preventive measures are planned by the local governments to be prepared for the impacts of climate change? What are the added values of the CHAMP project for the cities to reach the environmental targets?
