Solutions from the most Northern CHAMP city

Oulu is a lively centre in Northern Finland an has some 140 000. Being a CHAMP pilot city, it is also presented in the European Climate Champions conference.

You will find two presentations about Oulu in the Solutions from CHAMP cities section, telling more about the implementation of the City Climate Change Programme and expriences from CHAMP trainings.

The implementation of the City Climate Change Programme in Oulu is organised with the help of a cross administrative development programme. The aim is to ensure the strategic link between the city strategy and the various projects. This link is missing in many cities and is increasingly needed, as in many cities the volume of development using projects is growing. Do you feel the Oulu approach in implementing a local climate strategy can be successful?
